What is Council and Who Attends?
Diocesan Council is the annual business meeting of the Diocese held every February.
It is a gathering of elected delegates from all congregations, college ministries, lay heads of congregations, and canonically resident clergy. Article 2 of the EDOT Constitution details the membership of Council. The Bishop serves as ex-officio president of the council.
Where will Council take place?
In 2026, EDOT Council will take place in person.

Please stay home if you are not feeling well the weekend of Council.
Masks will be available but are optional.
Will Council be live-streamed?
The worship service and business meetings are live-streamed. A link to both will be located on the front page one day prior to event.
Eucharist
Friday, February 27 at 7pm in the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Town Center Ballroom.
Clergy please wear white stoles with cassock and surplice.
Banner Procession
Please bring your church banner and stand to Council and label your stand. Select one member from your congregation to participate in the banner procession on Friday, February 27 at 7 pm. For questions, contact the Rev. Allen Junek at associaterector@palmerchurch.org
Diocesan Choir
Those interested in singing with the Council Choir during worship should contact the Rev. Maria Teresa Bautista-Berrios at curate@trinitymidtown.org Rehearsal will be held Friday, February 27 at 4 pm, prior to the 7 pm service. Please wear all black or dark colors. No vestments needed.
